Farm Fest is looking for vendors that have a passion for homesteading, farm life, health and wellness, ministry, community, Texas families and that can enjoy a fun, memory-making, easy day of good food, good music and great local art and entertainment...and also aren't scared of a little cow poo.
We want to show the Greater Houston Area, and anyone that isn't aware, what Montgomery County is all about. We want to introduce them to our little slice of heaven, what should be known as the beginning of the hill country, Houston's Fredericksburg, a fast-growing, small business centered, faith based, loving community in the heart of Texas; filled with some of the best farms, homesteads, gardeners, artisans, creatives, musicians, chefs, givers, servers and lovers of people and community in the State of Texas.
Farm Fest is located on a 15-acre, working farm, in the Sam Houston National Forest. Agape Farms (pronounced uh-gah-pay), will open one side of the pasture for vendors and the other side will be dedicated for plenty of parking. An adjacent pasture will host food vendors, our community garden will be the perfect spot for a farm picnic surrounded by the farm animals while small interval farm tours are being enjoyed in small groups. Shopping, games, bouncy houses, demonstrations, classes, music, farm animals and festivities; think The Renaissance Festival but for Homesteading, A Community Serving the Community. A celebration of simple wholesome community, of simple wholesome life.
All proceeds will go to Alpha Elite Performance Outdoors, an organization which serves our veterans adrenaline outdoor adventures and fellowship. They will be inviting their veterans, friends, family, community, other organizations and generous donors to participate in our festivities so we're preparing for a successful turnout and participation. We're asking each vendor to prepare some type of game, gift, lesson, demo, prize, giveaway, trick or silliness, anything really, to invite each family to visit each vendor for a fun surprise. We have gardening and live bee demonstrations, small candle rolling activities, seed exchanges and more. The day will be full of fun, festivities and community.
